DonorDrive® Social Fundraising is online software for peer-to-peer fundraising and event registration. Baltimore Buddy Walk® participants are using DonorDrive to sign up their family team, create fundraising pages and celebrate their participation with close friends over their social channels. NDSS has chosen DonorDrive as the preferred vendor for registration and fundraising software.
The proceeds from the Buddy Walk are used to support the many programs sponsored by the Chesapeake Down Syndrome Parent Group (CDSPG). Examples of the types of programs CDSPG has ongoing can be found here. In addition, a portion goes to the National Down Syndrome Society to support the national advocacy initiatives of the NDSS National Policy Center that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.
Go to the register now button and complete the form. It is recommended that you read the "How Do I" instructions prior to registering to make the process as efficient as possible. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt.
Definitely not! CDSPG welcomes anyone who would like to support our programs! The goal of the Buddy Walk is to promote understanding and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, come and join us at the Buddy Walk!
You don’t have to have a team or be on a team. Anyone can register and participate! To register as a team, follow the team registration instructions. To register as an individual walker/runner, select the role, "Individual". Once you have completed the first registration, there will be a link at the top of the confirmation page to register additional people, if needed.
It is simple! You can create a team to support an individual with Down syndrome or you can create a team to show collective support from an organization, like a company or school. To register as a team, follow the team registration instructions. You will be able to name your team and then recruit team members; family, friends, co-workers, and others to be on your team. Your team members can register to walk with your team at the Buddy Walk and/or donate to the team by selecting your team name on the website. It is a fun way to garner support for a great cause!
Absolutely! Buddy Walks are open to participants of all ages and abilities. If you can't walk, don’t let that keep you from signing up - you can be a member of the cheering section, cheer on the walkers and runners and enjoy all of the festivities afterward.
Yes, all donations are greatly appreciated. You can make a donation by selecting "Donate To This Event" on the Buddy Walk website.
You can ask your donors to mail their donations directly to CDSPG using the mail in registration form:
If they would like their donation credited to a team, please ask them to indicate which walk team they are supporting and your name on the memo section of the check.
If you register by the t-shirt registration deadline (TBD), you will be guaranteed a free Buddy Walk t-shirt. On the day of the walk, there will be a limited amount of extra t-shirts available. But be sure to register by before the deadline to be guaranteed your Buddy Walk t-shirt!

Chesapeake Down Syndrome Parent Group Event Manager and the event Participant can track the progress of donation collections through viewing secured online reports.
